How often do I need to re-sharpen the blades? The lifespan of the blade's cutting edge can vary significantly depending on the material being chipped, such as hardwood or softwood, and whether it is green or dry. The ideal situation would involve resharpening the blade every 25 hours of work. On average, you can expect a noticeable decline in chipping effectiveness after 8 hours of continuous chipping. Therefore, we recommend resharpening either after 8 hours or when you observe a decrease in chipping performance. It is advisable to resharpen the blade as frequently as possible before it becomes dull. This is crucial for the chipper to achieve optimal performance and prevent excessive strain on the unit and its components.

My engine is not starting. What could be the cause? Please refer to the engine manual to get some troubleshooting ideas on how to start the engine. But here are some ideas that can help out during an issue with engine start: 1. Did you add the proper type and amount of oil? Our engines are fitted with a low-oil shutoff sensor that prevents an engine from operating. 2. Did you open the fuel open/close valve. All engines have a main fuel open/close valve. Please check that the valve is open, so gas can flow freely and reach the carb. 3. Are you choking the engine correctly? When the engine is cold, you need to choke the engine in order to start. Once the engine starts spurring make sure the open the choke lever gradually so it can smoothly run on idle position. 4. Is the ON/OFF switch in the ON position? Some engines have this feature installed. Sometimes you can forget moving this little sucker to the ON position, specially when is the first time you are getting to know the engine.
